De R-8AI-8DIDO is een gecombineerde I/O module met 2x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet-poorten en een Micro USB-programmeerpoort aan de voorzijde. De unit is ontworpen voor een snelle montage in kleine installatieruimten.
De R-8AI-8DIDO heeft 8 analoge ingangen en 8 digitale kanalen. De module is voorzien van een 1.5 kVAC isolatie tussen ingangen, uitgangen en andere laagspanningscircuits. De configuratie kan worden gedaan via software en een webserver met HTML5-ondersteuning. IP-adres, MAC-adres en firmwareversie kunnen worden geïdentificeerd of geconfigureerd op het LAN-netwerk via de SDD-tool (Seneca Discovery Device). De R-8AI-8DIDO ondersteunt zowel ModBUS TCP-IP als RS485 seriële communicatie met ModBUS RTU-protocol.
De R-8AI-8DIDO kan worden aangesloten in Ethernet-serieschakeling met fout-bypass om een Ethernet-verbinding te garanderen, zelfs als een module in de keten uitvalt. Digitale signalen kunnen worden gedupliceerd op een of meer modules in peer-to-peer-modus (I / O-spiegelfunctie). Een andere geavanceerde functie is de "ModBUS Passthrough" -functie, waardoor de module de verzoeken van Modbus TCP-IP, die als gateway fungeert, naar RS485 kan omleiden.
